I am Marie Jackson, the owner and director of Discovering You Child Development Center. As a newcomer to the Lockhart community, I wanted to take a moment to extend my heartfelt greetings and share my background with you. I was born and raised in the city of Austin, Texas, and I've spent over three decades dedicating myself to the field of childcare. For more than 25 years, I've held a director's license, demonstrating my commitment to providing quality early childhood education and care. I understand the trust parents place in childcare providers, and I take that responsibility seriously. To ensure your peace of mind, I've undergone a comprehensive FBI background check, including the sex offender registry, and I can promise so will every staff member of Discovering You Child Development Center. Your child's safety and well-being are my top priorities. But beyond my professional experience, I am also a proud parent and grandparent. I've been fortunate to witness the incredible growth and potential that children possess, both in my professional life and within my own family. It's this deep understanding of the unique needs of each child that drives me to create an environment where they can thrive, explore, and develop into confident, capable individuals. So why did I choose Lockhart as the location for Discovering You Child Development Center? The answer is simple: I aim to address the pressing need for childcare services within the Lockhart community. The warmth and welcoming nature of this community captivated me.
